Celebrate with sunshine, sand, sea and song
Come along to Scarborough Beach this Australia Day and take part in the celebrations, with a series of fantastic fun events. A great way to enjoy Australia Day, there will be loads of entertainment and activities for the whole family, from 9am.
Proudly brought to you by the City of Stirling, and as part of the Summerset Arts Festival, the Australia Day at Scarborough Beach event will take place at the popular Scarborough Beach Amphitheatre. The morning kicks off with the Australia Day Swim presented by the Carine Masters Swimming Association.
Later on, from 9am, there will be plenty of things to do and see with free, fun activities for kids, competitions, prizes, give-aways and more. Then enjoy an entertaining performance by Perth's own Julius Lutero Band, playing a variety of original songs and Aussie classics.
There will be a yummy sausage sizzle on the day, so don't forget to grab an Aussie Day Snag, with all proceeds going to a local community organisation.
Join WAZouk for fun with music and dancing, on Australia Day, from 4.30pm, at the Maureen Grierson Community Centre (rooftop) and Scarborough Beach Amphitheatre
WAZouk is a social group dedicated to promoting all styles of partner dancing, and will be holding classes for all ages for just $10.00 per person. WAZouk is also offering a free introductory dance lesson at Scarborough Beach between 5pm and 6pm.
Stay around in beautiful Scarborough and enjoy a great Australia Day evening concert, at the Sunset Veranda (pop-up venue), Scarborough Beach Reserve, The Esplanade in Scarborough. Featuring Perth band the Warning Birds, you will enjoy the melodic sounds of this award winning four-piece group, from 7.30pm till 8.30pm.
