Australia Day will be celebrated at events across the border in NSW, just a short distance from Canberra city. See below for Australia Events near you.
Queanbeyan will have an event at Queanbeyan Park starting at 4pm with the official citizenship ceremony, Australia Day awards, live music, free face painting and fireworks at 9pm.
Braidwood will have their Australia Day event at the Braidwood Servicemen's Club, starting at 12pm. There will be a citizenship ceremony and Australia Day awards followed by live music from Wombat Bill plus a traditional Aussie BBQ.
Captains Flat will celebrate at Colin Winchester Oval, starting at 11am. There will be a jumping castle, yabby races and country entertainment.
Bungendore will have their Australia Day event at Mick Sherd Oval, starting from 10am. There will be sheep dog demonstrations, market stalls, food stalls and live music. Also check out what's happening at Bungendore Bowling & Servicemen's Club, starting at 12pm.
