Celebrate our National Day in our Capital City
Celebrate the most important day of our country in our national capital city: Canberra!

The list below features both free and ticketed Australia Day events:

1. Australia Day Festival
When: 26 January 2017: 10am-9pm
Where: National Museum of Australia, Lawson Circuit, Acton
Cost: Free & Ticketed events
Details: Dress up and celebrate the many cultures of Australia with this community Australia Day event! There will be plenty of free and ticketed events for all ages including music, dance, demonstrations, entertainment, workshops, games, art & craft, live cultural performances and much more. 2. Australia Day Fireworks Spectacular
When: 26 January 2017: Entertainment from 6:30pm & Firework displays from 9pm.
Where: Lake Burley Griffin, Canberra
Cost: Free
Details: Have fun and be in awe with this spectacular firework display show this Australia Day. The best vantage points are Regatta Point, the lawns of the National Library and Rond Terrance. There will be entertainment as well. Click here for the website.

3. Australia Day in the Park
When: 26 January 2017: 7:30am-9pm
Where: Regatta Point, Commonwealth Park, Canberra
Cost: Free
Details: Be entertained this Australia Day at Commonwealth Park. The event will start of with The Great Aussie Day Breakfast followed by a day jam-packed with entertainment, activities, amusement rides, games, art & craft workshops, Aussie face painting and tattoos, National Flag Raising, Citizenship Ceremony concerts, kids activities, firework displays and much more. 4. Australia Day Cocktails at the Museum Bar
When: 26 January 2017: 7pm-11pm
Where: National Museum of Australia, Museum Bar, Lawson Circuit, Acton

6. National Carillon: Australia Day Special Concert

Where: National Carillon, Parkes
