Fun Tradition for a Good Cause
Melbourne and surrounds will have a lot of events and activities on Australia Day. Municipalities and organisations have prepared a whole wide range of celebrations. Lakes Entrance is being one of them.
Lakes Entrance Foreshore will be the place for all the events and activities on the day, 26 January. Duck Race will be one of them, the most fun and most famous one as well.
People come to Lakes Entrance for different reasons: fishing, boating, surfing, family holidays and short escapes. We have been coming back to this quiet, breathy seaside town for years. Duck Race has become our favourite event to attend.
Buy yourself a duck (sale starts at 1 pm) or two, name them, let them go, barrack for them and cheer them on. Win or lose, it is all for good cause. And to watch hundreds of ducks being let on the water from the boat and then being helped along by people on the water and on the shore, is so much fun.
