Free celebrations are good celebrations
It's a day where everyone can celebrate being an Australian or just have a really lovely day out at the beach in the sunshine. With all sorts of free events on offer on the day, you can soak up the sunshine with all of your friends and family. Australia Day on Coogee Beach will be quite the treat for everyone involved.

You can enjoy some incredible performances on the day by the Aboriginal Dance Group Binjareb Middars. There will also be performances by the New Zealand Children's Community Cultural Group, as well as Down Under Band and performer 'Bloom'.

There are also a lot of free activities. There will be a sausage sizzle, face painting, free health checks and more. Have some fun on the free inflatable activities. There will also be a lot of arts and crafts activities.

For all of the bike riders out there, you can get your bike checked over and have it tuned up. For little kids who can't ride a bike, there are some simple "balancing" education lessons for them. If you ride your bike to the event, you can even get a free massage to help you to relax after the long ride.

There will also be a sandcastle building competition! And there will also be mermaids on the jetty. When you get hungry, you can buy all sorts of foods, snacks and drinks to enjoy.

There is free entry to this event. And if you are interested, head to the Coogee Beach Reserve on Thursday, 26th of January 2023, between 8am and midday, where you can celebrate all things Australian in the hot Aussie sun.
