Australians love a celebration and this year Docklands is turning it on for you and your family.

All along New Quay Piazza & Promenade there will be entertainment and fun activities throughout the day and into the evening.
NewQuay Piazza is where you will find the MainStage with some great performers including The Getaway Plan and Tim Rogers and the Bamboos.
What could be better than a celebration? Even better when it's free!
If thats not enough, there will be a fun interactive social media zone.
To delight you and the kids there will be roving entertainment, activities, games and giveaways.
Head up towards the Upper Piazza and you will find the Food Truck Festival – doesn't the title sound like fun?
They are promising a great independent artisan market and food stalls. The Food Truck Festival will also include an artisan cider bar.
Once you have shopped and eaten your fill, make sure you find a good position to view the fireworks display beginning at 9.45pm.
The entire festival will centre around the Australia Day Main Stage, NewQuay Piazza. Festivities run from 4.00 pm – 11.00 pm.
However, if you wish to arrive earlier, the Melbourne Design Market, NewQuay Promenade, opens from 2.00pm – 10.30 pm.
Heralded as a bespoke Melbourne Design Market - MDM has become a well-loved event in Melbourne, showcasing local designers and their unique wares.
At the Australia Day Melbourne Design Market you can peruse and purchase items including furniture, fashion, jewellery, homewares and more.
