Australia Day Celebrations at Bicentennial Park, West Pymble

I am always looking out for new experiences, wherever I may find myself.
Australia Day celebrations in the Ku-ring-gai area will centre around Bicentennial Park in West Pymble. They will begin with a Citizenship and Awards Ceremony in the afternoon (3.00pm to 5.00pm), which will followed by a free evening concert (5.30pm to 9.00pm).

I expect most people will choose to attend the concert part of the event. If you do, expect to see Aboriginal performers Decendance, Lah Lah's Big Live Band from the children's show Lah Lah's Adventures, Simply Bushed, Stephanie Jansen and The Dave White Australian Anthem's Experience.

Also taking place at the same time as the concert will be multicultural food stalls and fun children's activities like face-painting and rides. The event will then conclude with some spectacular fireworks by Foti Fireworks.

These Australia Day celebrations have been put together by the Ku-ring-gai Council, which will organise a shuttle bus to help people get there from Gordon Station. Limited street parking will also be available in the surrounding area.
