The City of Salisbury invites you and your family to join them for their 2023 Australia Day celebration on Thursday, 26th January at Carisbrooke Park, from 8am to 1.30pm This is a free community event with lots of activities and a free hot breakfast bacon and egg rolls served up by the 1st Salisbury Scout Group, or a healthy option of fruit and yoghurt. The breakfast will be available from 8am to 11am while supplies last.
There will be free entertainment including live music from a local brass band and rock and roll band Crosstown Ramblers. Other free activities include Weet-Bix eating and thong throwing contests, sack races, water slides, a giant playground, rock painting, petting zoos, a pop-up library, giant board games and more.
There will be official events as well which will include a flag-raising ceremony, presentation of the Salisbury Australia Day Citizen of the Year Award Winners for 2023 and a citizenship ceremony.
