An evening of music & family fun before the 9pm fireworks
Australia Day is a huge celebration in the Capital of Australia, with a whole host of family activities on Saturday, 26th January. The highlight for many locals and visitors is the 9pm fireworks over Lake Burley Griffin, so take a blanket and get ready for a firework spectacular!

The celebrations begin at 4pm with live music on a stage at Regatta Point, with food trucks to grab some dinner before the fireworks. The concert will be headlined by Australian band the Rogue Traders featuring Natalie Bassingthwaighte, with back-to-back entertainment all evening. The concert will also feature a mix of local Canberra based artists including The Advocates Canberra, Los Chavos Music and Big Boss Groove.

Meanwhile, across the lake at Patrick White Lawns (next to the National Library) there will be a range of sporting and interactive activities for the kids. See the Events ACT website for full details.
