What better way to spend Australia Day than at Aussie World and the iconic Ettamogah Pub, on the Sunshine Coast.
This family-fun day begins at 10am with a flag raising ceremony followed by a rousing rendition of Advance Australia Fair. Aussie activities include dunny races and a beaut ute show.
The dunny race champions will not only take home the title and a toilet seat trophy, but also $1000 cash. Five-person teams can register their interest here.
The Ettamogah Pub will be open from 9am, Bluey's Bar & Grill from 11am, with live music from 11:30 to 3:30pm. There will be a great raffle, give-aways and plenty of prizes to be won.
Aussie World will entertain little Aussies and big ones alike with over thirty rides, including The Plunge; a brand new water ride with not one, but two steep climbs and drop-offs.
All-ages classic carnival rides include a ferris wheel, giant slide, carousel and crazy mirrors. For thrill seekers, there is the Mozzi Musta, Octopus and Redback. Further fun can be found at Side Show Alley, Platypus Pond Mini Golf and the Wild Mouse Wooden Rollercoaster (originally built in 1935).
Single entry passes cost $29. A family pass (2 adults and 3 children) is $119. Entry passes include unlimited rides and mini golf.
