With Christmas almost on our doorsteps and the new year around the corner, I'm sure most of us have these occasions already planned. But Australia Day is not far behind, and the Moreton Bay Regional Council are onto it.
Australia Day will be hosted at the Pine Rivers Park, Strathpine, and what a show it will be. The celebrations will start at 3:00pm with the raising of the Australian flag by the Lawnton Scout group, and will then be followed on by some fantastic live entertainment.
Kicking of the entertainment will be Brisbane band, Halfway, followed by female duo Brade and their unique Country/Folk sound, Wickety Wak and their mad capped performances and covers, a high energy Phoenix Wildfire Drum Show and the final name on the live entertainment list will be Cotton Keays Morris Country Band.
And what would Australia day be without fireworks. Around 8:00pm the skies will be lit up with what is promised to be a spectacular show of pyrotechnics.
