This year, the program for Australia Day celebrations in the city will be different again due to COVID-19. An immersion of light, sound and vision will take over Elder Park for five spectacular nights starting from Saturday the 22nd of January 2022.
Each night, you can stroll through the park and discover all that it has to offer along the river. Explore the 9.5-metre-tall AirLume with Adelaide Hills students' artwork depicting bushfire recovery. See a projection of the Tjarutja dance collective performances onto a water screen. Hear what Country means to South Australians and watch how sand painting is created by First Nations artist Derik Lynch.
Aus Lights on the River is a free event for everyone to enjoy. The light show will begin at 8:30pm, however, you can purchase food and drinks onsite from 5:30pm.
