Aus Lights on the River is set to showcase immersive and visually engaging light, vision and sound installations at Elder Park on Sunday the 26th of January 2025. The event will take place from 5pm to 11pm, and entry is free.

The rotunda will be illuminated with Peter Drew's iconic AUSSIE artworks celebrating the migrant history of Australia and fostering reflection and unity. There will also be an inflatable storytelling theatre celebrating the country's rich biodiversity. Evelyn Roth's Story Space allows you to choose a costume and become an animal (limited capacity). Then, check out the vibrant display of supersized bushland and marine creatures. You can expect echidna, bilby, shark, platypus, etc.

You'll have the opportunity to reflect on what country means to you as light casts a reflection into the water. Children can either create their own message-filled posters that celebrate cultural identity and togetherness or decorate paper cut-outs symbolising their unique cultural stories. And, last but not least, an extraordinary cinematic fireworks display will illuminate the sky and end your night on a high note. At the onsite food hub, local vendors will be serving up international delights to keep you from getting hungry.
