I was lucky to attend the first performance of Aurora Galore: Glamorous Weirdo. Aurora is a renowned Burlesque performer, and this is her first solo show (with a little help from a friend). She offers a wide and wonderful range of dance, audio-visual, circus arts, lighting, and fire.

The show opens with a stunning classic Burlesque dance routine, with some quite unique moves thrown in. The show leaves no doubt about Aurora's range of dance and Burlesque skills. After a stunning circus routine, she gives us some insight into what happens in her mind. A self-confessed 'weirdo', Aurora presents an interesting and artistic video montage of places that have grabbed her attention around the world while she prepares for the next part of the show, which is another unique dance routine using laser lights and her body as a canvas.

A second simply amazing circus routine brings Aurora back on stage to demonstrate her abilities with fire. They are impressive abilities indeed. She bends the flame to her will, and makes it dance between torches with a flick of her hands and even her breath. Her ability to rapidly breathe fire is impressive indeed.

If you're after a high-quality, classy Burlesque/Cabaret show with plenty of unique content, I'd definitely recommend putting Aurora Galore: Glamorous Weirdo on the top of your list.
