To wave goodbye those Winter blues, here is a list of gatherings held at the lovely Flinders Street Market in the usual big blue shed. Entry is free and all ages welcome. Simply bring your own materials, share your own skills or gain some from others.

Watercolour group, 13 August from 10:30am.

Dust off that sketch-pad and watercolours and continue your project in the company of others. Look for the white marquee at the end of the market.

Tea Tasting Group, 13 August from 10:30am.

Stu, also known as The Tea Catcher, will be guiding you through his concoctions and organic loose leaf teas. These tea tastings only cost a couple of dollars and will open your senses to the world of tea. You may find a dear taste from years back, or meet your new favourite brew. For more info and to book a spot, please email The Tea Catcher himself on [email protected].

Craft Group, 14th August from 10:30am.

Creative people are happy people, so bring along your craft project and work away in the company of others. This is the perfect opportunity to give some structure to your creativity and set aside some time each month to let your hands run wild. You may also find interesting crafts from the globe.

Botanical and animal illustration group, 20th August from 10:30am.

If you are obsessed with drawing flora and fauna, this is your chance to do it in a group of people who love it as much. Bring your materials and look for the white marquee. The group is self-directed, so you drop by for as long or as little as you like.

Art Club, 21st August from 10:30am.

Whoever said art is for loners and introverts has never heard of The Art Club. Bring your art project and work on it while you share a laugh and chat.

Adelaide Collage Club, 27 of August from 10:30am.

Check out this interesting art form or make one yourself. Collage making can be very cheap and easy to make, and cutting away can be really soothing. Kids are welcome.

Stitch and Bitch group, 28 August from 10:30am.

Gather up with a lovely group of ladies and stitch your life away. Whether it is crochet, quilting or embroidery, bring your project or ideas and materials and share the thread of conversation whilst learning new stitching methods.
