With a hot-pink guitar and the shell of a violin strapped to it, the sign for Audrey's Music Shop ain't your typical 'stuffy music store' advertising.
Climb the stairs at 173 Boundary Street and you'll find out that the shop itself lives up to the sign. Down a corridor, round a corner, down another corridor, and you're in a small room chock-a-block with instruments and sheet music. The entertaining staff know their stuff, and are happy to wax lyrical about any aspect of music that you may care to discuss (or any other topic, really). They can also fix tired and broken instruments.
I fell in love with a gorgeous piano accordion while I was there, and could only watch with envy as a lucky fellow walked out with it. Not that I can play an accordion, of course...
If you have a few minutes to spare, I recommend paying Audrey's a visit. Even if you can't play an instrument, it's always fun to dream.
