From the 9th to the 13th of May the Audi German Festival of German films will be held at Cinema Paridiso. A selection of films and documentaries have been specially chosen by Festival Director Dr. Arpad Solter.

With over 234 screenings of 45 films in cities, the Goethe Institute who works to promote German language society and culture via the exchange of music, film, theatre and literature has cause to celebrate with this group of documentaries and film.

In 1998 Tom Tykwer's 'Run Lola Run' marked the beginning of a revival in German cinema which is now enjoying international success. Highlights of the festival include a special opening night screening of Hotel Lux as well as a Q&A held on the 2nd of May at 6pm for the film 'More than Honey'.

HOTEL LUX
Special event: Opening Night Screening Thursday 9 May, 6.30pm
Celebrate the official opening of the 2013 Audi Festival of German Films wih a screening of 'Hotel Lux', followed by an after party at The Bakery Artrage Complex. Tickets for the evening cost $50.

MORE THAN HONEY
Special event: Q&A Screening Thursday 2 May, 6pm.
Oscar-& #8208 ;nominated documentary maker Marcus Imhoff investigates the importance of bees to the environment in 'More Than Honey'.

In the making of this film, Swiss director Markus Imhoof has collaborated with two scientists – his own daughter, Barbara Baer-& #8208 ;Imhoof and his son-& #8208 ;in-& #8208 ;law, Boris Baer. Barbara and Boris (who are based in Perth) will conduct a question and answer session after the film.
