I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.
Accommodation in a convenient Albury location is provided by the 140 rooms in the seven-storey Atura Albury. The rooms are furnished in an urban industrial style with pops of retro colour. The air-conditioned room was spacious and furnished with a King bed, double lounge/sofa bed, a desk, coffee table and chairs. There was a flat screen digital TV, a coffee pod machine, minibar and a wardrobe. Although quite small, the bathroom was well equipped with a large shower head and Malin & Goetz toiletries.
The parking is outdoors, plentiful and free, WiFi is complimentary throughout the hotel and a free newspaper was delivered in the morning. The bar/lounge area is in the open plan foyer and is relaxed and comfortable with a variety of seating options. There is also seating on an outdoor deck and beside the pool.
The reception is manned 24/7 with a friendly face to greet you after a long day on the road. You can check in from 2pm and there is a generous check out time of 11am. There is an onsite restaurant where a breakfast buffet is served in the morning.
The Atura Albury is handy to several bars, cafes, shops and restaurants as well as a short walk to Albury Botanic Gardens, swimming baths and the scenic park alongside the Murray River. This hotel is suitable for business stays as well as travellers and has a fully equipped business centre and meeting rooms. These conference facilities can also be used for events of up to 120 people.
The Atura Albury is a great place to break a long trip between Sydney and Melbourne or to spend a few days discovering the delights of the Albury/Wodonga area.
