The word still isn't out about Attik, but it's well worth adding to your weekend hitlist. At the start of the year, this venue changed management, dropped all entry fees and began a host of drink specials along with free popcorn and pizza late on a Friday or Saturday night, leading to an influx of happy drinkers!

Essentially, they run a comedy night 'Stand up in the Attik' every Thursday and one of the city's top queer women's nights on a Friday, gloriously named 'Mother'. Both are free entry. Thanks to a major social media campaign, Mother is fast becoming a packed and popular event. The rest of the week, you can find a more chill crowd inside but still plenty of patrons.

The main reasons to visit include a covered and heated area for smokers, a live DJ and comfortable bench seating with ottomans that are low enough to be safely danced upon - and management tolerate that practice. Be sure to give it a try sometime!
