Revision season for exams has come round again, so I have been on a search to find a café where I can hide away, get my head down on the books whilst drinking coffee and eating cake. The only way to work if you ask me!

The Attic has pretty much ticked all of these boxes and will definitely be my café of choice in the future for this time of year. As you walk in you are always greeted in a friendly manor as if you are already a regular. Brunch is really what The Attic does best, I'm sure it won't take me much longer to get through their whole menu, I am yet to come across something I don't like. My two favourite choices so far have been the banana bread as well as the Shakshouka, however I did not have my phone with me that day to get pictures. The food caters for everyone, from gluten free to vegan as well as most of it being organic and healthy whilst just being simply delicious!



The daily choices of cake are also a good option if you are just popping in for a catch up with friends, however the portion sizes are a little on the small side for my liking, but I am a foodie! The coffee is of good size but never is very hot, so if like me you like it really hot and to last a while, make sure you ask.



Unlike most of the cafes I have visited in Fremantle I feel The Attic has tried really hard with its décor, giving it a quirky but cosy atmosphere to it. The only down sides are that in the warmer months the outside seating area is very limited and often in the shade. As well as the café can get a bit gloomy, which when reading is not always ideal, but I always find a light somewhere.


Quite well hidden off the main Cappuccino Strip on Bannister Street but it is definitely worth a visit.
