It's a cold day. The weather cannot decide between bucketing down with rain or ravaging the poor souls brave enough to venture outside with cyclonic winds. It's about 9:30am and I've found myself at the Claremont Quarter.
The shopping centre was sterile and I felt very much out of place wandering down the strip. My body was begging me for a warm drink and so I set about finding a cafe.
I knew the area of Claremont was a little on the pricey side, but what the cafes were charging was ridiculous. Finally, I settled into the Atomic Cafe. The place was buzzing, and whilst it wasn't entirely comfortable temperature wise, it was still warmer then outside.
I ordered a hot chocolate and a stack of pancakes. My...was I shocked when it came out.
