Visitors to the park may also enjoy the playground, where kids can have a go on the swings or equipment set. If you have a dog, you'll be pleased to hear there's an enclosed dog park here too, with seats, shade and plenty of room for dogs to run around.
Trees everywhere and the split level land help make Asquith Oval quite pretty, and when sporting games aren't taking place, I can picture picnics taking place here. However, you'd have to bring your prepared own food as there are no BBQs and few tables.
The seats that are available are mainly limited to one side of the oval, outside the buildings (like the toilets). The all face where the action will take place, but they're not like a real grandstand; they're all individual benches.
Asquith is quite a small area but this oval is a great facility. The only other park you'll find in the suburb is Mills Park, located down the road from Asquith Girls High School. Berry Park is also not far away, in neighbouring Mount Colah.
