Stay warm with Susie Wong
From now until late August the rooftop of Melbourne's popular Emerson Hotel rooftop will be transformed into an Asian winter wonderland with a bit of assistance from local Windsor eatery Susie Wong.
Visitors can expect a brand new menu for the space reflective of some of Susie Wong's best dishes that are certain to keep you warm and snug inside. And the Emerson rooftop is enclosed so it truly is one of the best places to stay warm this winter.

Diners can enjoy dishes such as soft shell crab banh mi with yuzu mayo or sweet corn sticky rice balls with salted plum or five spice crispy pork belly with chilli caramel, apple and radish salad and more.

For those with a sweet tooth, the dessert menu is equally delish with Susie's bitter chocolate cardamom fondant with vanilla bean ice cream and mandarin dust or try the coconut and lime sago pudding with caramelised pineapple. There's also rare Japanese Whiskies, Asian inspired-cocktails and sake on the menu as well.

The pop-up event is also more than a great night out. The 'Winter in Asia' event will also help to eradicate domestic violence in Australia with their 'Dump DV' challenge. Each Thursday, participants can register to take the challenge by paying $25 to see if they can eat 20 dumplings in 2 minutes. Each victor goes into the draw to win the overall competition of a trip to Japan. Proceeds from the entry fee will support the Face Up to DV appeal, launched by Jimmy Bartel in partnership with the Geelong Football Club.
It's a great feed in a gorgeous venue and a fabulous way to support a cause. Get in before the end of winter!
