If you love suckling pig, then you'll love Asia Grand Restaurant in the City Hall area. Located in Odeon Towers just next to Carlton Hotel, this long-standing Cantonese restaurant is one of my favourite places to feast on this Hong Kong-style dish.

Be it lunch or dinner, the suckling pig here is technically well executed. You can savour thin and crispy pieces of suckling pig skin accompanied by sprigs of spring onion and dollops of thick sweet sauce on steamed bite-sized pieces of circular flatbreads.

The chopped pieces of meat are also juicy and tender to bite. The favourite bits are the legs or trotters. The right size of pig is used to achieve the maximum crispiness of the skin while ensuring the meat remains tender during the roasting process.
