If you are in Victoria and travelling on the Hume Highway, call in at 909 Back Eildon Road, Eildon and sample some of the unusual combinations of preserves made and sold by Ashton Lodge.

Preserves can also be acquired on Mail Order, but there is nothing like an on the spot tasting. Most preserves, whether fruit or vegetable combinations are well priced at $7.50 for a 295ml Jar.

Some of the choices;

Blackberry Jelly - (no pips) sweet or sour.
Fiery Figs - figs lime and chilli
Hot Lime Pickle - a good accompaniment to curries.
Spiced Capsicum Chutney - Better than tomato sauce.
Tunisian Chutney (Eggplant Capsicum & Dates) - Chilli and spices.
Rhubarb and Date Chutney - Also has cranberries. Lovely!
Peppered Plum Chutney - Plums and black pepper, ideal for the steak.

There are dozens more flavours, so go and try for yourself you wont be disappointed. All produce is local and contain no artificial colours or preservatives.

Ashton Lodge also attend local farmers markets at Tallarook,York Yea and surrounding districts
