Many young girls have dreamed of stepping into a pink tuled tutu, slipping into a pair of ballet slippers and elegantly gliding across the dance floor. For years, the Ashgrove Dance Studio has helped girls pursue this dream and explore their passion and love for dance and movement at their studio in Ashgrove Avenue.

The Ashgrove Dance Studio originates from the oldest ballet school in Queensland. The original school commenced in 1899 under the direction of Nellie Lawrence and was continued by Katie Cannan from 1913 to 1922. In January 1973, the Ashgrove School was passed to Wendy and Judith Lowe who are still the principals of the Studio. Today's dance students can learn a variety of dance styles for those of all ages and abilities including jazz, ballet, tap, hip/hop including classes and creative movement for tiny tots and toddlers.

The studio will be holding its Community Fair on 3 June 2017 from 8am-4pm with Jumping Castles, face painting, dress up items, sample bags, lucky dips, books, cake and food stalls, plants, Tupperware, games, trash and treasure stalls.

Dance demonstrations will be held all day in the hall and admission is free. Come and see why the studio believes that "to live is to dance."
