As part of the exciting Arty April programme, the Town of Claremont is hosting an Aztec Umbrella Decorating Workshop at Station Masters House, 39 Gugeri Street, Claremont.

This interactive school holiday event will be held on Tuesday 7th of April, 2015 and is designed for children aged between 5 and 12 years.

The two-hour workshop will see children designing their very own paper umbrella inspired by ancient Aztec designs.

They'll be invited to use lots of bright coloured paints, bold shapes and fun geometric patterns and are welcome to add their own personal touch to their paper umbrella.

The workshop will be held in a relaxed and encouraging environment and the children will be split into similar age groups:

  • 9.30am to 11.30 am (5-8 years)

  • 12pm to 2pm (8-12 years)

  • 2.15pm to 4.15pm (8-12 years).

Please note children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Parents are welcome to stay and enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee on the deck.

Places are limited for each class - to make a booking, please visit TryBooking.

The participation fee is $20pp and all materials are provided. Children are encouraged to wear an art shirt.
