I'm in Melbourne often enough - so why not write a bit about some places I've seen :)

In a city and country that has a contentious history with its Indigenous population, it is refreshing to see a growing awareness and acknowledge of Australia's Aboriginal past. This painting highlights the beauty of recognising that Australia truly always will belong to the traditional custodians of the land. The fact that this type of imagery is seeping into mainstream society and has made its way onto the remarkable and well-known Hosier Lane is a reflection on the fact that Australia is becoming more politically aware of its history. The artwork itself is truly exceptional, with such precise detail making it a piece to remember.

Very true Catherine! I have always felt that we can't look forward to our future by ignoring our past..rather, our future will be much more worthwhile if we acknowledge the past and take the learnings along...
