The Town of Victoria Park is currently presenting its inaugural 'Arts Season'.

Traditionally the Town of Victoria hosts the 'Art Awards', but this year, the council has chosen to dedicate an entire season to showcase the creative talents of Western Australian artists to the wider community.

The all-encompassing programme of events runs from 1 April 2016 to 28 May 2016 and features everything from hipster buskers, international artists and kick-flipping skaters, to comedic beer tasting and trendy fashions.

There's sure to be an event to suit every interest, taste and budget over the two months.

What's more is that the festival will extend to a range of celebrated venues and public spaces including Crown Theatre, McCallum Park, Dutch Trading Co., Victoria Park Centre for the Arts, ToVP Library, Balmoral Hotel, Edward Millen Reserve & Home, 47 Planet St, Carlisle, Harold Hawthorne Community Centre, Curtin University and John Curtin Gallery.

The event programme is filled to the brim with events for lovers of fashion, visual art, music, theatre, comedy, film and literary arts. Plus there's a selection of interactive workshops to partake in as well.

Some of the programme highlights include:

  • John Hughes Slopestyle

  • Busking in the Parklet

  • Brewed Laughter

  • CATS the Musical at Crown Perth

  • Skateboarding workshops

  • Live Sunday Sessions

  • Paint-by-Numbers Carlisle Mural Project

You can view the complete catalogue of events here or you can grab a copy from various cafés, bars and restaurants around the Town.

Some events are FREE to attend, others may require bookings and ticketing. Please view the event programme for full details.
