Just as Banksy is a clandestine street artist, I, Bunksy, am a clandestine writer. Fearless, surprising, hidden and out there. The world is my blog.

The joy of art will be on show at the Arts Project Australia stand, B106, at the Melbourne Art Fair 2014, Royal Exhibition Buildings Carlton, August 14-17 inclusive.

While there will be over 70 gallery stands at the fair showcasing Australian and international galleries, the Arts Project stand is special.

When you look at the art of the intellectually disabled, you look at the pure instinct of art, unadulterated by fashion or academia. Arts Project Australia fosters pure artistic expression in a unique art making environment for over 110 intellectually disabled artists.

Where many an artist struggle to achieve freedom of line and movement, Arts Project artists shine.

Pictured here are two very different Arts Project artists. What characterises them both is the purity and unselfconsciousness of their creative expression.

Georgia Szmerling is an artist whose work is lyrical, often patterned, and exudes the beauty of nature. Georgia is comfortable using many mediums including print and ceramics. She is pictured here with one of her recent pastel drawings, Owl.

While Georgia Szmerling gains her inspiration from nature, by contrast, her colleague, Leo Cussen, draws inspiration from Hollywood's glamour era. His pastel works are characterised by repetition, text, movement and a sense of humour.

The Melbourne Art Fair is a biennial event that attracts thousands of visitors. It is a one-stop shop to survey the breadth and range of artistic output by contemporary artists. All works at the Arts Project Australia stand are modestly priced. They are a welcome entree to the world of original art. If you are beginning a collection, looking to add to one or looking for a work for your lounge room or office, the Arts Project staff will be happy to help you.

The works are ingenuous and professional, and the artists tell it in their own unique way. Arts Project will be showcasing works of several of their artists by rotation at the fair. Seek out the Arts Project stand, number B106, upstairs at the Royal Exhibition Building, Carlton. You will be amazed at the talent and quality of the work that you discover there, literally, from the artist's soul to you, with love.
