The Arts Centre Gold Coast is offering some wonderful shows for children in 2014. As Gold Coast's leading cultural venue, the Centre is the place to be for quality entertainment. So whether you're a Gold Coast resident, or a visitor, I'm sure the following shows will delight you.

Here's what's on for the kids in 2014.

The Deep

Based on Australian author Tim Wintono's classic children's book, The Deep tells the story about a little girl called Alice who is afraid of swimming in the sea. Despite the fact that Alice and her family go to the jetty for a swim every day, Alice only watches. Everyone in her family including her Mum, Dad and brother try to encourage her, but Alice is still too frightened to swim.

One day, when Alice swims with a friendly dolphin, she forgets about her fear and just swims.

This show is presented to you by Spare Parts Puppet Theatre and guarantees to be a delightful experience for children and adults alike. Combining beach culture, comedy and superb puppetry, this live theatre experience is one not to be missed.
