Arts, cocktails, music, the river and the sea all in one
This state heritage building has been transformed from a house into an arts centre, it's aim is to support the development of local artists; bringing all forms of creative expression to the heart of Adelaide's Southern suburbs, and with the Fringe Festival at it's peak, there is no better time to introduce this new space to the local and broader community, this Friday 11th of March is the last chance you will get to experience The Arts Bar at Sauerbier House, so come meet the new neighbour.
Wearing Street at Port Noarlunga is the home to this beautiful revamped Victorian house, the new arts centre could not have asked for a better location as it sits right between the Onkaparinga River, the sea and a historic main street (Gawler Street), if this is not enough to set the mood for a relaxing evening then "Love at Thirst Sight" theme bar will certainly take care of things, retro tropical cocktails served amongst the palm trees, craft beers and of course regional wines!
There will be multicultural performances on the night: Syndicat (music), Adelaide Fringe Festival guests and works on display by artists in residence. This Friday 11th of March has gone beyond an arts event by also hosting food vendors, artisan market stalls, world music playlist and of course that relaxed yet cool atmosphere only the Fleurieu Peninsula can offer! The event starts at 5pm and finishes at 10pm, free entry for everyone and no BYO.What more could you ask for to farewell the 2016 Adelaide Fringe Festival than a local event which gathers all the elements of a great festival and combines them with the regions passion and landscape?
