Showcasing Australia's Best Artists + Opening Doors for Youth Education

The annual Artisans in The Gardens exhibition returns to Royal Botanic Garden Sydney from October 26th to November 3rd, showcasing forty of Australia’s most exciting emerging and leading artists and craftspeople. Entry is FREE.

A standout event on Sydney’s arts calendar, Artisans in The Gardens is now in its 24th year and organised by Foundation & Friends of the Botanic Gardens.



Set within the historic Lion Gate Lodge, the event draws collectors and art enthusiasts eager to see the work of both established and emerging artists. Discover 3,000+ unique works across diverse mediums, including sculpture, ceramics, hand-blown glass, jewellery, and textiles.



The exhibition is renowned for its high-quality works and diverse artistic perspectives. With works ranging from the small to the monumental, and prices from $20 to $20,000, there is an opportunity for collectors of all levels to find something special.



Sales of the artwork not only benefit the artists - 20% of the funds raised will go to Foundation & Friends of the Botanic Gardens, and from that amount, 20% will specifically support the Education Access program in NSW. This program has the potential to provide over 700 students each year with opportunities for hands-on learning in nature, plant science, and First Nations histories and cultures at the Botanic Gardens of Sydney.



Pete Thomas, CEO of Foundation & Friends said, "Every artwork is available for purchase, and this year, your support has even greater impact.

"Funds raised will help provide immersive learning experiences for students who may not usually be able to access the Gardens, ensuring they participate in unique educational opportunities and connect with nature,” said Mr. Thomas.



The event also provides a platform for first-time exhibitors alongside well-known returning artists, highlighting a range of styles and techniques that reflect Australia’s vibrant art scene. The variety and accessibility of works contribute to making Artisans in The Gardens a unique fixture on the cultural calendar, combining artistic excellence with community impact.
