Hi, I love living a simple life in my island home. Whether cooking, camping, sailing or sewing, I'm happy sharing my lifestyle with you.
Even Scrooge loves Christmas shopping across the Bay
Don't waste precious time parking and shopping in the suburbs. Spend a delightful Sunday on 6th December on Macleay Island soaking up the artistic talent at the homemade market. Open from 8.30am to 3pm the market is in the Macleay Island Progress Hall up the hill from the ferry terminal, first street right at the Tavern.
This is your chance to buy original jewellery handcrafted on the Island and art works created by local artists. Browse books written by local authors or buy online as ebooks. Check out the honey, shortbread, tomato relish and other Island delicacies. The soaps, greeting cards, retro linen, upcycled clothing and even spray on tattoos are only some of the items for you to buy from the 30 stalls.
Enjoy a coffee and meal at The Blue Parrot Restaurant around the corner or watch the boats go buy while cooling off at Pub Paradise (Tavern). Catch the Bowls Club bus for music from George & Nicola and lunch at Water's Edge Bistro overlooking the majestic view from the deck. Phone 34095364 to book the bus. While there walk to the Art Gallery.
