Shop at the artisan markets, eat at the Polish Club
An exciting new artists' market will launch this Saturday 13 December at the Polish Club in Milton. The first markets will feature stalls from fashion designers, milliners, paper crafters, jewellers and other artists. Following the launch in December the markets will operate monthly on the second Saturday of the month.
The venue is on the ground floor of the Polish Club in an air conditioned area and is accessible via the City Cat as the newly opened Milton Ferry Terminal is directly across Coronation Drive. There is also plenty of free parking if you drive.
The restaurant at the Polish Club is open until 11pm Saturdays so you can finish off your market experience with an inexpensive meal ($9-25). Meals include Polish dishes as well as many pub favourites. See the menu here. The bar also offers Polish and local beers as well as a large selection of Polish Vodka just in case you are finding Christmas shopping a bit stressful. As the markets run until 3pm you could easily come in the afternoon, have a drink to reward yourself for finishing your Christmas shopping and buying locally and then stay for dinner.
If you are interested in booking a table to sell your art at these or future markets the cost is $35 (which can be shared between artists). Contact Jacquie or Kerry on email@example.com for more details.
