A great spot for refreshment when travelling
Arthur Clive's Bakery Café is family owned and operated in Aratula. The bakery is named after Mr Pennell's grandfather Arthur Clive, whose father Herbert started his first bakery in Boonah in the 1930s.

All products are baked on site. The bakery opens every morning at 6:00 and every food item is fresh, ready to be enjoyed for breakfast, morning tea or to take away. If you are travelling, take fresh bread, fine pies and tasteful pastries with you.
There are vegan options like vegan ciabatta and vegan hot dog. Flourless cake and a bread loaf with gluten-free flour are made on the premise.
If you are coeliac, please consider there is a chance of contamination since the gluten-free products are made in the same premises where all the other flour products are made.

Arthur Clive's Bakery Café in Aratula is very popular with day-trippers, weekenders and hikers. I stop at the Bakery/Cafe when I am in the area. It is a great spot to stop to refresh and have a delightful hot drink and nice food.
Aratula is a small town and locality in the Scenic Rim Region, Queensland, Australia, about 60 kilometres southwest of Ipswich, just east of Cunningham's Gap. Aratula has long been a place for food and accommodation to weary travellers crossing the Great Dividing Range. The rural town of Aratula offers a range of accommodation including caravan parks and motels.
There is lots of to do and to see around Aratula, which is surrounded by Moogerah Peaks National Park and Main Range National Park. Between Mount Edwards and Mount Greville is Lake Moogerah, a popular lake for water skiing, jet skiing and boating.

Another great article Cris. How delicious do all those bakery items look. This is the type of establishment I like when on the road. Coffee and a snack rather than a large meal. The scenery is worth visiting as well.
