Artful Snippets Exhibition at Jugglers Art Space

Some months ago I visited Artful Snippets Studio and Art School and I talked to Jess Malousis about what made her start her art school and her way of teaching art. I promised to come back to get details of the exhibition that Jess has organised at Juggler's Art Space for her students.



The exhibition will open on the 7th of November at 6 pm and it would be wonderful to see many art lovers, art browsers, friends of the painters and talent spotters at Jugglers Art Space at 103 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley. The exhibition will be open during limited hours during the week, however opening night will extend on into the evening.



I asked Jess why she had organized this and she said "I am acting as initiator, teacher, organiser, and co-curator of this exhibition. It gives me such pleasure to open up this opportunity for my students who would otherwise not have the change (especially our younger students.)"



"Some of the exhibiting students have been under my guidance for 2 years and others for a few months. Quite a few of the adult students reignite a passion for the fine arts and creative fulfillment. It is a privilege to join them on this journey. Many of our students are now receiving commissions from various people due to the quality of work and the passion evident in their works. They are experimenting with different mediums, applications, subject matter and I encourage them not to be afraid to play or make mistakes. Art is all about problem solving and that is where the best learning is. Our exhibition shows the journeys from 12 developing new artists (our youngest is 5) with various backgrounds and talents. I am so happy to see them now displaying these works."


The students showcasing their art are: Tony O'Sullivan, Lucy Bolton, Peta Walter, Jane Paviotti, Bridget Paviotti, Lena Vishnevskaya, Irena James, Jacqui Cousins, Hiromi Sogawa, Hilary Boyle, Siobhan Malone, and Henry Astridge.

This is their debut show.

Artworks being exhibited will be for sale - come and support some local talent!

Jugglers Art Space - Opening Night 6.00pm onwards 7th Nov.

Mon, Thurs and Fri 10am-3pm - or by appointment.
