Artforce paints original artwork on traffic signal boxes (TSBs) located at every Brisbane intersection.

TSBs or traffic signal boxes are metal boxes that house traffic light electronics, in many cities the are left to be vandalised and covered with posters and garbage but out of the 1,000 Council controlled boxes in Brisbane, 900 have been painted by emerging artists who reside here in Brisbane .

Artforce, a Brisbane City Council initiative managed by Urban Smart Projects, have done a fantastic job with this concept and I intend to bring more photos of these ingeniously unique canvases to Weekendnotes week by week.
