Wild Things is the theme HSC students worked with for this year's exhibition at the Armory Gallery.


ARTEXPRESS is now in its thirteenth year, and this year exceptional artworks created by 59 Higher School Certificate students from schools across NSW are on display at the Armory Gallery from February 28 to April 25 inclusive.

Entry is free with the exhibition open every day from 10am to 4pm. Being held at the culture hub of western Sydney with the largest continuous gallery wall in Australia, the open space area accommodates many types of art forms and media.

ARTEXPRESS showcases exceptional HSC artworks.


Come along and view this 2017 collection with the theme 'Wild Things' where students have used many different forms of expressive media including; painting, photo-media, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, graphic design, textiles, fabrics and ceramics.

Danielle Gullotta, who has again curated this year's exhibition said, "Wild Things encapsulated the youthful energy and spirited expressiveness of the artists and highlights the rigorous experimentation involved in the bodies of work."

The exhibition includes free curator talks on March 5 and April 23 at 2pm, and also free kids' ARTEXPRESS-inspired art and craft workshops on April 13 and 18.

A $500 Qudos Bank Arena voucher will go to the 'People's Choice Award' winner, so when you do visit don't forget to vote for your favourite piece.

GETTING THERE:
CAR - Free parking is available at Blaxland Riverside Park.
TRAIN - Services to Sydney Olympic Park run every 10 minutes between Lidcombe and Olympic Park stations. Allow time to walk to Armory Gallery.
