ARTEXPRESS 2018 returns to The Armoury at Sydney Olympic Park in March and you're invited to discover the next exciting crop of talented young artists and their incredible artworks.

ARTEXPRESS is an annual exhibition which showcases the artworks completed by visual arts students for their Higher School Certificate. This year, the exhibition will feature works from 47 students from schools across New South Wales.

Be inspired, challenged and delighted by the ideas, creativity and artistic skills of these talented 2017 HSC students.

The artworks in the exhibition come in various forms and use a wide range of materials and media - from paintings, drawings, sculpture, graphic design, textiles, ceramics, photo-media, printmaking, documented forms and time-based forms.

The theme of this years exhibition is "In pursuit". The exhibition curator Danielle Gullotta explains why this theme was chosen. She says, "ARTEXPRESS as a whole engages with the concerns of contemporary life and each of the young artists involved is in pursuit of understanding issues that impact on all our lives, including the influence of globalisation, the impact of technology, addressing imbalances in the natural world, and seeking an understanding of the influence of social connections. The artists strive for self-expression with an awareness of themselves transitioning into adulthood."

The free exhibition will run over several weeks, so there is plenty of opportunity to go along and take a look for yourself. You can visit between Tuesday 13th March until Sunday 6th May 2018 between the hours of 10am and 4pm daily (including public holidays).

You can also get involved personally by voting for your favourite artwork in the People's Choice Award competition. By doing so, you will put yourself in the draw for a chance to win a $500 Ticketek voucher. For more information, visit the website here.

During the exhibition period there will be a number of free public programs running including:
