New York . ArtCrawl Harlem, a non-profit gallery tour designed to educate and entertain visitors has been spreading the word about art in Harlem. It organizes private walking tours that allow you view specific works, meet the artist and gallerists, and enjoy some food and beverages.
Every Saturday from 20 September to 25 October, ArtCrawl Harlem will be presenting 'A Journey to the End of the Rainbow' tour. This two hour tour between 2pm to 4pm will take you the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, The Sol Studio and La Maison d'Art for a viewing of 'i found god in myself'.
This multimedia and multi-gallery gallery tour and exhibition curated and organized by Souleo of Souleo Enterprises LLC celebrates the 40th anniversary of American playwright and poet Ntozake Shange's choreopoem for colored girls who have considered suicide.
20 specially commissioned pieces in honor of Shange's individual poems which have captivated, provoked, inspired, and transformed audiences will be on display at The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. The Sol Studio and La Maison d'Art will display additional non-commissioned artworks.
All works reflect Shange's words and women's experiences with a diverse range of issues at different life stages of youth, adulthood, and late adulthood.
