For Lovers of Contemporary Art
ART1000 is not just a clever name. A donation of $1000 secures art lovers a place in the annual program, invitations to unique events, advance access to brand new artworks as well as the opportunity to purchase specially commissioned works.

A selection of artworks to be seen at this year's PICA exhibitions

ART1000 donations in 2013 will allow PICA to support the development of exciting new dance, theatre, visual arts and inter-disciplinary works by some of WA's most talented and thought-provoking artists.

It will give these artists the all too precious but utterly necessary time, space and expertise to take risks, break new ground and forge unique artistic practices.

The 2013 ART1000 program of events and opportunities includes Artists Talks, Private Viewings and advance access to purchase a specially commissioned artwork by leading Western Australian contemporary artist Rebecca Baumann as well as the highly anticipated PICA Salon Vernissage.

PICA Salon is an annual exhibition featuring a curated selection of local, national and international contemporary artists. PICA Salon 2013 celebrates the stellar history of Perthʼs leading contemporary arts organisation by showcasing artworks for sale by those who have exhibited at PICA over the last 24 years.

All proceeds from the sale of artworks in the PICA Salon go directly to the artists.

The Salon Vernissage is the spectacular opening night of PICA Salon and will take place on Saturday 20 July 2013 in PICAʼs Westend Gallery. Since its inception in 2010, this exclusive
celebration has firmly developed a reputation for being one of Perthʼs most sophisticated events.

It promises to be a dazzling evening of art, fashion, music and performance and invitations are available exclusively to ART1000 donors.

Lovers of contemporary art can secure their place in the 2013 ART1000 Program by phoning Jo Malone on (08) 9228 6300, emailing or visiting PICA's website.
