Tap into your creative spirit with art workshops
The hills around Montville and Maleny are home to many artists and three talented artists will be sharing their creative secrets in workshops over the next few months.
Unleash your creativity and make your mark Tree Frog Gallery regularly holds art workshops and the next one on November 17 and 17 will be taught by mixed media artist Kym Barrett who creates abstract works that reflect the natural world as you can see in the painting below called After Rain Roses.

Kym Barrett's Make Your Mark workshop will focus on mixed media, helping participants explore acrylic paints and a variety of drawing materials and techniques.
Kym is not only an accomplished artist; she's also an experienced teacher. After a career as a high school art teacher, she has been teaching adult workshops since 2009.

Print making Maleny artist and teacher, Sonja Georgeson is holding four workshops on printmaking during November.
On Saturday November 16, her focus is on using styrofoam to make prints and on November 17, she'll be sharing the skills on linocut printmaking.

On the weekend of November 23 and 24, Sonja's printmaking workshops will cover gelatine plate printing and glass plate printing.
Sonja is an experienced teacher and has been teaching art classes and workshops for 25 years. She's also a multi-talented artist with a portfolio that ranges across print-making, drawing and painting, using a variety of media.
