If you've visited the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, you'll have noticed that Maleny and Montville are very creative places and this autumn you can expand your creative horizons with art workshops.

March 22 - Mindful Art and Writing Experience Whether you want to be more creative in your art, writing or even your day job, mindful art and writing techniques can help you tap into your creative force. The humble inkjet printer is capable of more than you realise. This workshop with Nancy Stockmann will teach you how to print photos, drawings, designs and text onto a variety of surfaces using a simple home inkjet printer, offering all sorts of possibilities for collage, mixed media, textiles and craft projects. May 3 and 4 - Introduction to Mischtechnik: Mandala How do you hold a moonbeam in your hand? Capturing light, radiance and transparency is one of the biggest artistic challenges but Katia Honour has mastered it and will share the secret in a workshop at Lift Gallery on the Maleny-Montville Road on May 3 and 4. It's all about "mischtechnik" which is a way of layering egg tempera with glazes and paints to create a luminous effect. Click here to book online
