One of the featured artists is regional Victorian printmaker Tarli Bird with Stitch Your Own Adventure. At this installation, guests hand sew where they have come from and will go during the day on hand-printed, interactive sewing maps that come with a threaded sewing needle. Tarli's large-scale painted geometric maps of Prahran, Windsor and South Yarra will be created on site at the Salvos Windsor store over the two weekends.
Other confirmed artists for 2016 include Melbourne urban projection artist Drasko Boljevic, and Melbourne-based portrait and landscape artist Demian Carey-Gibbins as well as the Melbourne Urban Sketchers, a global group of artists who meet up to sketch, draw and paint en-masse in urban locations throughout the world.
"I thoroughly enjoyed painting on Chapel Street and engaging with locals. Allowing people to engage directly with artists makes art accessible to all, only good things can happen from here!" said Demian Carey-Gibbins.
