In a city full of artistic individuals, there's no doubt that you're going to stumble across a lot of places in NYC that sell art supplies – some which are better than others. Instead of taking guesses, it's better to know which places are going to provide you with stellar customer service and a good variety of materials. Out of the many art supply stores, at least two offer the art supplies and service you want.

Some of the many materials they sell include canvas, frames, paper, brushes, paints and even custom items. Several brands are available including Eco-House Inc. and Escoda. The location in Manhattan is open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 7pm and Sunday from 12pm to 5pm. The location in Brooklyn is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm and is closed over the weekend. They request that you call to find out if the item you are searching for is in stock.

There's a good section of art materials both in-store and on their website. Whether you are into screen-printing, scrapbooking, drawing, ceramics or one of the many other forms of art, there are materials available for every stage of your projects. Some of the many brands available include Liquitex, Van Gogh, Skutt, 3M and Amaco. There are also many products available on clearance on a daily basis. What started off as a pamphlet in 1911 with the warehouse in the kitchen has turned into two locations in New York and several more across the United States.
