Art On The Streets Bondi 2015
Art On The Streets at Bondi's Roscoe Street Mall

Art on the Streets is a one day annual event allowing emerging artists to exhibit their work outdoors in Bondi's Roscoe Street Mall. Art lovers will be able to meet the artists and have the chance to pick up original pieces from as little as $30.

The event was set up as a joint initiative by the Bondi Chamber of Commerce and Waverley Council five years ago to increase visitors to Bondi during the winter months. With 22,000 people having confirmed their intention to attend on the event's Facebook page, it seems that the initiative is set to be a success!

Visitors will be encouraged to contribute their own artistry to the day by filling the surrounding streets with chalk art. The vibe will be funky and soulful with live music provided by BYO Social Club, a collective of local musicians who bring together sounds from an eclectic mix of genres.

Confirmed artists include Annie Pryor of The Doodle Society, Bondi resident Rosie Apps, whose humorous sketches of Bondi are popular with locals and visitors, and Stuart Sale, a Sydney based mixed media artist originally from the UK.
