"
Chai is the epitome of Indian hospitality. Be it the handyman who comes to do a repair job at home or the most revered guest, it's offered to all. From roadside tea stands to luxury hotel lounges, or snazzy chai bars. It's available to all."
The Experience of Indian Tea - Sarin & Kapoor The Art of Chai by Chai Walli is an interactive workshop, exploring the origins of chai, its deep rooted Indian culture, Ayurveda and its complex flavours. This engaging and informative 90-minute workshop is hosted by Australia's leading chai expert, Uppma Virdi.Uppma is the founder and owner of Chai Walli, a Melbourne-based chai business specialising in hand-crafted, high-grade chai blends which are widely regarded as the most authentic chai on the market.
The Chai Walli range has been featured in numerous programs and publications, including SBS, The Age, Porsche, Urban List, The Times of India and the Australasian Speciality Tea Association. Chai Walli's blends are natural, vegan, sugar-free, gluten-free, Ayurvedic and come with a delicious caffeine free option. Uppma also sources the teas used in the Chai Walli range directly from a small batch organic tea farm in the Assam Valley of northern India.
Furthermore, Uppma uses the same traditional Indian practices and ancient recipes her Grandfather, a doctor specialising in spices (an Ayurvedic doctor), handed down to her.Uppma notes her Grandfather taught her everything he knew about spices and in particular, how to balance them to create the most perfectly balanced chai blends which offer a unique flavour profile and have remedial benefits on the body, mind and soul.
