If you are in Italy in July this year, do not miss the first Art Nouveau Week. The Art Nouveau Italian Association has organised a tour of the most beautiful closed or abandoned venues and villas in Italy. So, from 8 to 14 July, you can choose which site you would like to visit. Art Nouveau is also known as Liberty Art. It started out in 1895 with the modern design and architecture developed in Great Britain, Belgium, France and Germany. The dates of the event refer to the date of birth of Giuseppe Sommaruga, the most important Italian architect within this style and Gustav Klimt, the famous painter who recollects to Art Nouveau.
In Milan, there are two tours - one around Corso Venezia area and one that will include the Monumental Cemetery. To sign and book in and to stay updated on the events, just tune on the Facebook page
