The Art Institute of Chicago is at 111 South Michigan Avenue Chicago. The Nichols Bridgeway connects the Art Institute to Millennium park.

The venue is set across a lobby and three upper levels. There are two wings on each floor, connected by a central corridor. Notable works include 'American Gothic' by Grant Wood, Monet's 'Stacks of Wheat' and Dali's 'Venus de Milo with Drawers'.

The Art Institute collections continue on to modern, contemporary, video, and sculptural works.
The Art Institute is open daily from 10.30am to 5pm, and on Thursdays until 8pm. Entry is $28 for an adult visiting from out of town, and the cloak check is $1 per item. Photography is welcome without a flash.
